Ewan McGregor reprized his role as the Jedi Master in last year’s Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi. In addition to The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power or House of the Dragon, the Disney Plus project was one of the most important series in 2022. McGregor spoke extensively about his experiences on the series both before, during and after the publication of the series Set spoken. Currently, for example, an interview in which the actor talks about which scene made him cry while watching the series catches the eye.
McGregor moved to tears
In the conversation, recorded for the Disney Studios Awards, McGregor cites a scene from the last episode of the series. It’s explicitly about Obi-Wan’s farewell to a very young Princess Leia. “[…]I was sitting there watching episode 6…when I [Leia gespielt von Vivien Lyra] at the end say “may the force be with you” i burst into tears. I sat there [und] something was so moving about it.”
Before that, the actor explains that he was first shown the series in Manhattan Beach. Sffgazette points out that from the outside, one might have expected the final encounter between Darth Vader and Obi-Wan. After all, this is also a very emotional moment for the Star Wars cosmos. The story of the two is an important part of the series.
