Twitter announced that anyone with a suspended account can request a review to reinstate their profile under new criteria, but details of the new rules have not been released. According to the company, the review process can take several days.
The social network identified several policies where permanent suspension was a disproportionate action for violating platform rules. Twitter indicated that a new appeals process would be part of its policy to take “less severe action” against accounts that break the rules. In the future, the microblogging also said it will take more flexible measures.
We’ve identified several policies where permanent suspension was a disproportionate action for breaking Twitter rules. We recently started reinstating accounts that were suspended for violations of these policies and plan to expand to more accounts weekly over the next 30 days.

Recently, the company began reactivating accounts that were suspended for violations of these policies. Upon taking over Twitter, Elon Musk said he would amnesty for banned accounts. Since then, dozens of controversial users have had their accounts recovered, including Donald Trump, comedian Kathy Griffin and controversial Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut.

Twitter takes several actions against accounts that violate its rules in a serious or repeated way, following notifications. This may include requesting you to edit your content or profile, changing your account to read-only mode, verifying account ownership, or suspending your account.
Permanent suspension is the strictest measure and removes the account from global view and prevents the person from creating other accounts. Violators can appeal the permanent suspension if they disagree with the decision. If the suspension is deemed valid, Twitter will respond with details about the violated policy.
How to request reactivation of suspended account
To request the reactivation of a suspended Twitter account, the user must go to the help section of Twitter and click on “Request review of suspended account”. You must then provide information about the suspended account and explain why you feel the suspension decision was unfair. The Twitter account review team will evaluate the request and, if deemed appropriate, may reactivate the profile.
