Alan Wake 2 marks the return of one of the most mythical licenses of the last decades. Remedy is back after other paranormal proposals that have found a good group of fans, such as Control.
After a time in which we have not been able to find out many more details about the game, the director of Alan Wake 2 has been speaking out to give some extra touches to the project that is still scheduled for 2023.
We already know that the game will be much more terrifying than the first. The first one was “an action game a la Stephen King” and this one will go a bit further. Now, in an interview with GamesRadar, the director creativo, Sam Lakehas talked about the game and what we fans can expect.

Analysis of Alan Wake Remastered
Everyone is welcome in Alan Wake 2
The truth is that, according to Lake, this sequel will offer a few connections with the games that make up the joint work of Remedy. The company has made different titles, but they all belong to a shared universe.
However, despite these winks and references, this Alan Wake 2 will continue to be admissible for those who come first to the saga. And it is that, let’s remember that Alan Wake was launched in 2010 and there are many users who may not have played it.
When we were creating the concept for Alan Wake 2, we had very much in mind that we wanted to create an experience that would be welcoming to everyone, both new players who may not be familiar with Alan Wake or the Remedy Connected Universe, and our fans, who have been on the trip with us and enjoyed previous Remedy games, he said.
Of course, if you’ve played games in the Alan Wake franchise, Control and Control: AWE DLC, there will be plenty of connections, bits and pieces of the saga, and familiar characters for you to discover.
Although if you haven’t played the first one, Remedy has already outlined its strategy to attract the attention of more players with the release a couple of years ago of Alan Wake Remastered. This is how we valued it at the time:
Without being visually stunning, it has managed to revamp itself to meet the occasion, while its story needed no alteration: it remains as compellingly atmospheric as ever.
Will you give this title a chance? Alan Wake 2 looks good, although there is still a lot to see. Its launch is scheduled for this year 2023, on PS5, Xbox Series X | S and PC.
