A few hours after Tom Henderson’s report, who shared some background on the development of Dragon Age Dreadwolf online, BioWare’s long-awaited role-playing game is back in the spotlight, this time due to a leak.
During the night they began to circulate on the net a short clip of gameplay e a series of images which the author of the leak ensures belongs to Dragon Age Dreadwolf. The shared material, which you can view at this address, is not particularly substantial, but undoubtedly appears worthy of note since the game had never been shown before. The leaker claims that he made the decision to release the material after reading Tom Henderson’s article, he also said “honestly shocked” by the absence of a gameplay video during the Game Awards of last December.
The clip would be taken from a much longer film of about 20 minutes recorded on an Alpha version of the game, with missing textures, incomplete modeling and temporary skyboxes. The author of the leak preferred not to share it in its entirety, on the other hand he described its contents. The gameplay in question takes place entirely in Weisshaupt, the fortress that serves as the headquarters for the order of the Gray Wardens. The character controlled by the player is a knight of elven race equipped with sword and shield, and joined by two party members, another knight and a thief dwarf. The three make their way by defeating numerous Darkspawn and then reach the Library, where they find a mighty dragon just waiting to be destroyed.
At this point the leaker partially contradicts what Henderson reported, as he describes a real-time combat system combining it with that of God of Warto then state that he does not fully understand the approach to Final Fantasy 15. The character can score a series of combos, use skills and fill a bar that allows him to use a special move.
