A new video demonstrating the capabilities of DLSS 3 technology has been published on the popular YouTube channel Testing Games.
Testing was carried out on a PC with flagship hardware. Inside is an Intel Core i9-13900K processor, a GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card, 32GB of RAM, an ASUS ROG Strix Z790-E Gaming motherboard, and a 1200W CORSAIR HX Series HX1200 power supply.
Dying Light 2 at maximum settings in 4K produces:
Dying Light 2 in 4K at maximum settings without DLSS – from 40 to 45 fps. Dying Light 2 in 4K at maximum settings with DLSS 2 – from 60 to 80 fps. Dying Light 2 in 4K at maximum settings with DLSS 3 – from 100 to 120 fps.
DLSS technology allows you to increase performance by about three times. At the same time, the quality of the graphics remains the same. You can notice the differences only with a careful analysis of the picture on pause.
But DLSS 3 has a significant drawback. The technology only works with GeForce RTX 4000 video cards. And there are currently only three of them – GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, GeForce RTX 4080 and GeForce RTX 4090.
