While at Sony we continue to celebrate the great success of the recent exclusive by Santa Monica Studios, following the achievement of 11 million copies sold for God of War Ragnarok, users are eager to know more details on the TV series dedicated to Kratos and coming in the near future.
After the announcement of the start of work on the television product developed by Amazon Prime, the president of Sony Pictures TV Studios Katherine Pope has released some information about the status of the project. It all happened following a chat on Deadline’s microphones, during which the following was stated:
“IP and the expansion of universes continue to be definitely a significant part of our business, and I think an important part of everyone’s business. I agree that the PlayStation IP has become more and more important – The Last of Us has just been renewed for a second season – and we have a really close relationship with PlayStation and its creatives”. To these first observations by Katherine Pope , however, some followed details about the status of the God of War TV series.
In fact, it follows from what has been said above: “We are working on God of Warthe PlayStation title, which is still in the early stages“. It will be necessary to wait a little more time before knowing further information on the works, even if the basic premises would seem to be more than positive. “I know the game quite well and I am very impressed with what they are already doing in terms of world building and expansion while keeping all the values of the game.”
More than positive news which will delight the fans of the series, above all for the desire of the creative team – of the television counterpart – to transpose the videogame production while maintaining all the main elements.
