The French edition of Le Film Français reported on the potential premieres of the upcoming Cannes Film Festival. According to media reports, Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” and the fifth part of “Indiana Jones” – “The Hours of Fate” will be in the program of the show.
This will be Nolan’s second appearance at the Croisette after Stanley Kubrick’s 2018 restored version of 2001: A Space Odyssey. The release of the tape about the ancestor of the atomic bomb J. Robert Oppenheimer (Cillian Murphy) will be released in the US on July 21.
Indiana Jones and the Clock of Destiny opens June 30th. Harrison Ford will return to the role of the adventurer. The film was directed by James Mangold (Logan).
Also in the tentative line-up is the biopic “Priscilla” by Sofia Coppola. The announcement of competitive and out-of-competition programs will take place in April. The 76th Cannes Film Festival will take place from 16 to 27 May.
