The God of War series is still in the early stages of development

We still don’t know who will get the lead roles.

In December 2022, Amazon and Sony’s gaming division announced a series based on the latest installments of God of War. In an interview with Deadline, Sony Pictures Television Studios head Katherine Pope gives a brief update on how the project is doing.

According to the top manager, now the series is in the early stages of development. Apparently, there is no approved cast yet, Pope does not say anything about the script.

Amazon also promised that the adaptation of God of War would be “grand” and “true to the original.” The show was co-produced by Corey Barlog, creative director at Sony Santa Monica and head of development for God of War.
