The Vivo X90 Pro smartphone, announced for China last November, has entered the international market. The device is notable for the 1-inch 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 sensor, which allows you to get high-quality images in low light. He was accompanied by the base Vivo X90, that is, without the “Pro” prefix. But the even more advanced Vivo X90 Pro + remained an exclusive offer for China.

With the announcement of international versions of the flagships, Vivo has been surprisingly laconic about the release date for their sale outside of China. But it is known for sure that the smartphone will debut in Malaysia, where the X90 will cost the equivalent of $869, and the X90 Pro will cost $1174. The older model is not the first smartphone with a 1-inch sensor: Sony IMX989 has previously received Xiaomi 12S Ultra and Xiaomi 13 Pro, but neither of them has yet gone on international sale. And this makes the smartphone from Vivo more interesting.
In addition to the large sensor, the manufacturer has installed a V2 chip on the smartphones of the line, which helps to reduce noise when shooting, improving quality in low light conditions and providing a more natural look when choosing HDR format. Camera software features include a cinematic Cine-flare Portrait effect with lens flare and a tilt-shift style Miniature Effect.
The Vivo X90 Pro also boasts a secondary 50MP camera with a 50mm equivalent focal length for portraits and a 12MP ultra wide-angle camera. The X90 and X90 Pro smartphones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 processor and offer 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. 120W wired charging is supported, while the Pro version also has 50W wireless charging – the first fully charges the battery in half an hour. The OLED display for each of the models has a diagonal of 6.78 inches with a resolution of 2800 × 1260 pixels (QHD + format) and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The international version is only available in black with a vegan leather texture on the case back. The housing is IP68 rated.
