The closed “alpha” of the game will be held from March 31 to April 2.
The game publisher Bandai Namco, together with the developers from Bandai Namco Studios, spoke in detail about the key gameplay mechanics of the Tekken 8 fighting game, and also introduced a new character for it. All information was presented as part of the finals of the Tekken World Tour 2022 esports tournament.
The list of fighters was replenished with the prudent Nina Williams, but it’s hard to call it a direct addition, because the girl was present in all parts of Tekken. It is known about her that she is an intelligence agent and spy, born in Ireland. You can evaluate the appearance of Nina Williams in the eighth part with the help of a fresh gameplay video. He demonstrates to us the girl’s ability to handle firearms and, of course, hand-to-hand combat techniques.
Even as part of the presentation of the game, the developers spent a lot of time talking about fresh gameplay mechanics. There are updated Rage and Heat systems, mechanics for regenerating health during combat, a simplified control scheme, and something else.
The same Rage system automatically activates when the player’s character loses a certain amount of health. Once activated, it starts to deal more damage. Or Heat is a new system that will debut in the eighth Tekken. It is activated with a single button press and lasts for 10 seconds, encouraging the player to actively attack.
