As the developers at EA Motive Studios revealed in a recent statement, the studio would like to continue working on the “Dead Space” series and is advising on the next steps after a vacation. The test ratings of the recently released remake are also celebrated with an Accolades trailer.
One of the first software highlights of the relatively young video game year 2023 was the remake of the 2008 survival horror classic “Dead Space”.
The remake was received very positively by both the gaming press and the gaming community. This is how the PlayStation 5 version of the “Dead Space” reboot brings it auf Metacritic for example an average score of 88 points. Not only was a short Accolades trailer released over the weekend, with which PlayStation and Electronic Arts were celebrating the test ratings of the international gaming press.
In addition, the developers at Motive Studios spoke in a recent statement about the future of the “Dead Space” series and once again pointed out that they would like to work on other “Dead Space” projects sooner or later.
Dead Space developers are taking a well deserved break
Accordingly, EA Motive maintains several teams according to its own information. While a team is currently working on the “Iron Man” project announced for 2022, the developers of the “Dead Space” remake are taking their well-deserved vacation. The team then wants to come together and discuss their next steps. The “Dead Space” brand will of course also be at the center of the discussions.
“Both internally and externally, we have communicated that we would like to continue our work on the Dead Space franchise,” Motive Studios said. “Our core group is passionate about the brand and we need to consult on what is the right next step for us. There are numerous factors that need to be considered at the studio and corporate level.”
“First though, the team will take their well-deserved vacation and then decide what to do next,” the developers said, while noting that the Iron Man brand is in good hands with the studio.
