Transfer from one faculty to another will not work.
At the very beginning of the passage of Hogwarts Legacy, players need to make two important decisions. First, you will have to get acquainted with the Sorting Hat and choose a faculty, after some time we will go to Hogsmeade – here in Ollivander’s shop our wizard will receive his own wand.
How to choose a Hogwarts faculty
During the ceremony, the Sorting Hat asks two questions. The first, about preferences and expectations, does not play any role – you can choose both the “I would like to explore the castle as soon as possible” option, and the option “I would like to start learning as soon as possible”.
The real choice of faculty occurs on the second question – about a character trait. By choosing a character trait, the player chooses a faculty:
Courage: Gryffindor. Curiosity: Ravenclaw. Loyalty: Hufflepuff. Ambition: Slytherin.
note: after answering the question, you can change your mind and choose the faculty again. But in the future it will not work to change the faculty.
What does the Faculty influence?
Firstly, access to the corresponding living room depends on the faculty. Secondly, the House influences the appearance of the character: some items of clothing will use the colors characteristic of the House.
In addition, each faculty has one unique task. There are no other differences between departments.
How to choose a magic wand
During a visit to Ollivander, the player is invited to collect their own magic wand. There are many customization options: you can change the length, flexibility, core, and so on. In addition, in the future it will be possible to change the handles of the wand.
You can choose the design of the stick based on your own preferences. In Hogwarts Legacy, the wand is just an accessory, it doesn’t have its own powers, stats, or anything like that.
