Last year, the Dnipro District Administrative Court canceled the rights of the oligarch Igor Kolomoisky to operate the Dnepropetrovsk airport. This was followed by an appeal. But now, after consideration of the appeal, the decision has come into force. This was reported by the press service of the city council of the Dnipro.
It is noted that the Galtera company from the Privat group of Kolomoisky operated the airport in Dnipro for 15 years. It was she who decided which airlines could fly from Dnipro Airport. According to lawyer Elena Donenko, the company artificially created a monopoly by concentrating property and air fleet in one hand.
The Court of Appeal upheld the decision to cancel the company of oligarch Igor Kolomoisky the right to operate the Dnepropetrovsk airport. However, there is still a court of cassation. Nevertheless, Dnipro Mayor Boris Filatov believes that “the airfield has already been wrested from the hands of the oligarch.” The legal process lasted 2 years.
“After all the litigation, illness of the judges themselves, numerous reschedules and other strange miracles, we won this case. Now I can hope that Kolomoisky will no longer parasitize at the airport of the City,” said Boris Filatov.
The mayor of Dnipro also added that in the future the airfield will finally be able to work with low-cost airlines, and the cost of flights will no longer be artificially inflated. However, this will happen only after the victory in the war over Russia and the restoration of the airfield.
