It is no longer news to anyone that OnePlus was preparing an Android tablet for the year 2023. Something that actually comes a little late, since the ‘boom’ in demand has already arrived, has already been maintained, and in the meantime, also disappeared… But there he is! In the form of the OnePlus Pad.
OnePlus Pad: Is it the “Never Settle” for the tablet world!?
Therefore, OnePlus took advantage of the launch of its new high-end smartphone, to also make its own in the world of tablets. The original idea behind ‘Pad’ is very simple, but truly difficult to achieve. After all, the idea is to offer the OnePlus software experience, which always tries to focus on speed and fluidity, and less on ‘extra’ features.
It is also a launch that completes the OnePlus ecosystem, which already had smartphones, watches, TVs, wireless headphones, and now, Tablets!
What is this tablet worth?
Obviously, the OnePlus Pad uses a design that is very unique to the brand, making it an extremely appealing product for any type of user. To get an idea of the materials used, we have an aluminum alloy to give the feeling that we have a really premium product here, and of course, more expensive than what it actually is.
To provide the best viewing experience, productivity and multimedia consumption, we have an 11.61” screen capable of offering a body/screen ratio of 88%, in a curved experience, thanks to the use of 2.5D glass. (The margins around the screen are only 6.54mm). In addition to the size, we have a frame refresh rate of 144Hz, and of course, Dolby Vision support. However, the screen is IPS LCD rather than the more desirable OLED. (2000 x 2800 pixels)
However, in terms of specifications, we have a SoC Dimensity 9000 (a top-of-the-range SoC!), and interestingly, the possibility to go up to 12GB of RAM, which in turn allows a total of 24 applications open at the same time. To handle all this, we have a 9510mAh battery, and a 67W super fast charging.
Weight and dimensions: 258 x 189.4 x 6.5 mm // 552 g
Price: It hasn’t been announced yet, but it’s expected to be between €450~500. (We have a case/keyboard as well as a pen (Stylus) inside the box.
