Sony has unlocked February 2023 essential games for PlayStation Plus members. They can be claimed for one month as usual.
PlayStation Plus membership holders can now add more games to their PSN account. Because the “free games” of the Essential level are available for download. Subscribers to the Extra and Premium levels also benefit from this.
Three games have been selected for the current February. These are OlliOlli World, Mafia Definitive Edition and Evil Dead. In addition, there is the addon “Destiny 2: Beyond Light” – or in this country “Beyond the Light”. The new additions are listed below:
PS Plus Essential in February 2023

Once the PS Plus Essential games are packed into the personal PSN library, they can be played permanently and without restrictions. For this, however, it is necessary to comply with the monthly deadline. Once the March games have been unlocked, the entitlement expires and the February games can no longer be added to the personal catalog “for free”.
PS Plus in March 2023
The dates for PS Plus in March can be predicted as usual, as Sony sticks to a certain pattern. The Essential games are usually unlocked on the first Tuesday of the month. The announcement was made on Wednesday of the previous week. For March 2023, this means: The announcement of the Essential new additions will probably take place on March 1, 2023. They can then be claimed on March 7, 2023.
And then there are the PS Plus Extra and Premium games. While the February games were scheduled to be announced on February 15, 2023 and unlocked on February 21, 2023, the March 15, 2023 (announced) and March 21, 2023 (unlocked) releases are expected to be the more expensive tiers.
