Dynamic Island was one of the novelties of the iPhone 14 series, although it is only integrated in its most advanced models.
Now a new Apple patent shows what the next generation of this feature will look like as well as plans for Face ID.

The Dynamic Island feature was one of the novelties of the new iPhone 14 series. Loved by some and hated by others, this feature immediately started a controversial path, thanks to being present only in the most advanced models of the iPhone 14.
But, for the most part, iOS users are happy with the feature and Apple might even have new ideas for the feature. Recently, an Apple patent was discovered that shows the possibilities thought for Face ID and Dynamic Island.
Before going into more detail, we remind you that this is a patent, therefore all the ideas expressed here may not advance or, alternatively, take a long time to reach the market. Having made the warning, let’s get to the details.
According to the new patent, Face ID can be embedded in the screen. All because the documentation shows a variety of sensors that will be integrated under the dashboard.
As for the Dynamic Island functionality, the plans look more complex, but also much more attractive. The documentation shows that through several transparent windows whose size and location can be adjusted, the Dynamic Island’s location space can be changed on the screen.
To do so, the brand will have to make some changes to the panel that can bring more benefits. According to Apple, a typical screen of a branded product has 13 layers, which reduce light transmission by up to 80%.
Now to carry out its plans, Apple would have to reduce this number of layers that house the sensors. The advantage: greater light transmission. The problem: only a few pixels must be turned off to maximize light transmission so as not to compromise touch sensitivity or performance.
By the patent now discovered, Apple may be on the right track to resolve the issue and present the next generation of Dynamic Island with other attractions.
