In addition to giving us a new taste of the splendid The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, the February Nintendo Direct confirmed the arrival of a collection in a remastered version of the two chapters of the Baten Kaitos JRPG series.
The rumors had been circulating for a few weeks now, and in the past few hours an artwork had even been leaked that seemed to pave the way for the announcement. The official confirmation came on the occasion of the Direct: Nintendo presented, in collaboration with Bandai Namco Entertainment, Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remastera collection containing the stories of Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean and its prequel Baten Kaitos Origins, originally published on the Nintendo Gamecube.
The video that we reported at the top of the news shows us the renewed graphics of the two JRPGs and introduces us to the narrative events, the characters we will meet along the way, and the unique combat system which lays its foundations on a deck of playing cards. At the end of the trailer we are confirmed that Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster will be available as a single package during the summer of this yearexclusively on Nintendo Switch.
It was also announced at the Direct that Game Boy and Game Boy Advanced games will be coming to Switch.
