Cities: Skylines will be available as a Remastered Edition on February 15th on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

Paradox Interactive and Colossal Order today announce Cities: Skylines Console Remastered, an updated edition of the city simulation game designed specifically for the expanded capabilities of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It will also be included in Xbox Game Pass at launch.

Cities: Skylines Console Remastered will be available on February 15, 2023 at a suggested retail price of $39.99. All players who already own Cities: Skylines and its expansions for the PlayStation 4 or for the Xbox One will receive the Remastered Edition for their PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S for free (as well as the Remastered DLCs up to the Airports expansion). Revised editions of the other DLCs will be made available in the coming months.

Cities: Skylines Console Remastered features a number of improvements optimized for current-gen consoles, including additional buildable tiles to create larger cities and the ability to freely place buildings. This revised edition also improves graphical performance to better reflect the larger cities players can create on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Cities: Skylines Console Remastered updates include:

25 buildable tiles – that’s an additional 16 tiles over Cities: Skylines on Xbox One and PlayStation 4! Quick Select Tool UX improvements such as precision placements, distance display, and updated snapping options New Environment Control Panel that allows players to customize time of day, rain, fog, and environment colors Map Editor A general boost in graphics performance

Cities: Skylines Haupt-Features

Players can build the city of their dreams with street networks, bus routes and parks. They start a smog-ridden industrial revolution or create a quiet seaside town powered by renewable energy, ideal for tourists. For their citizens, they need education, health care and security. Everything according to the preferences of the respective player.

Multi-level and challenging simulation: As the mayor, players face balanced basic needs such as education, water, electricity, police, fire department, health care system and more while building their own city’s economic system. Townsfolk react quickly, keeping players busy with ever-evolving demands.
Extensive public transport simulation: Managing traffic and citizens’ needs for work and leisure requires the use of multiple interactive transportation systems – careful street planning alongside buses, trains, subways, and more.
Districts and Policies: Players need to be more than just another town hall official! You can create a car-free inner city, set up public transport to the waterfront or ban pets in suburbs. Parts of the city can be designated as districts to enforce rules at the local level. The different parts of the city are each given their own personality by the players.
Includes After Dark expansion: The city becomes a completely different place at night: a day-night cycle makes citizens look for places to relax after work. With new policies and zones, it creates popular hotspots and provides taxis and trains to make it easier for citizens to get to clubs and back home.

In addition to being used on the latest console generations, players will also get access to the regular PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions.
