Hogwarts Legacy game has been in the making for a long time. Avalanche Software officially announced the game in 2020, although development on the project began much earlier. The studio originally planned to release the game in 2021, but delays forced it to be pushed back to 2023.
For now, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch players can expect the game to release on February 10, 2023. However, if you have purchased the Deluxe Edition, you will be able to play it even earlier thanks to a special Early Access promotion – access is already open.
The plot of Hogwarts Legacy will take us to the world of wizards around the 1800s, that is, 100 years before the events of the Harry Potter books. Hogwarts Legacy has an original story that will make us feel like fifth-year Hogwarts students with late admission as we hold the key to an “ancient secret” that threatens the world of witchcraft and wizardry. Avalanche Software claims that in Hogwarts Legacy we will “go on a perilous journey to uncover hidden truths about the world of wizards”, visit familiar places and meet brand new characters.
