The site havetheystreamedthatwizardgame.com has been shut down, after causing quite a stir, as it dealt with track streamers Twitch who played at Hogwarts Legacyso as to allow those who would like to see the boycotted game not to follow them anymore.
Apparently the author of the site, Sam Gibbs, chose to close it on his own initiative after a few hours of activity. Probably his was above all an initiative capable of provoking, given that he does not seem to have taken the end of the project too badly. Or he may have been intimidated by the raised crawl space. Ours was not too clear on the matter. However, such a message was quite indicative of his goals:
“People who say you have to let people play what you want have gotten way too angry about a tool that lets people see what they’ve played…”
Naturally, the reason for the dispute is always the same: the connection of the game to JK Rowling and the accusations of transphobia leveled against the writer, which have led to huge reactions all over the world.
