Here you can even fly on a broomstick and look at a scary owl.
The development of the role-playing action game Hogwarts Legacy took about six years, YouTuber ThrillDaWill tried to recreate the game a little faster – in a day. To do this, he used the Unreal Engine and asset sets.
Of course, it’s impossible to play the entire Hogwarts Legacy or even part of it in just 24 hours, but ThrillDaWill has achieved a good result. He managed to assemble his version of Hogwarts, implement spells and fly on a broomstick.
True, there are nuances: the magic is made on the basis of the shooter demo, so it works quite peculiarly, and the physics of brooms does not work quite the same as in the world of Harry Potter. But the broom itself goes through the wizard’s clothes in exactly the same way as it is done in Hogwarts Legacy.
Especially noteworthy are the models used by the YouTuber. Hagrid, for example, is clearly borrowed from the old Harry Potter game, the main character is made in the MetaHuman editor, and instead of a broom, the hero of the game flies on a brush.
ThrillDaWill was going to put his project on itch.io so that everyone could fly around Hogwarts, but so far this is not possible: the build turned out to be too large. ThrillDaWill plans to optimize the project and still publish it.
