Studio ECC Games and publisher 505 Games have announced a new racing project – the game DRIFTCE. It is stated that the project will be released only on consoles – Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, Playstation 4 and Playstation 5. The developers promise to release DRIFTCE in the spring of 2023, while there is no exact date.
The announcement states that DRIFTCE is a drifting simulator with gameplay elements from Car Mechanic Simulator (ECC Games helped develop the simulator). The player will have to tune the car in their garage and then compete in drift competitions on licensed drift tracks. Players will be given full control over the car: they will be able to independently pump its engine, adjust the suspension, adjust the exhaust and, of course, make visual tuning.
At launch, over 1900 different car parts, 14 tracks, 7 single player modes, 5 multiplayer modes and 13 cars are announced in the game (Toyota AE86, Mazda MX5, Nissan Silvia (S15), Subaru BRZ, Mazda RX8, BMW E46 M3, Ford Mustang , BMW E30 M3, Nissan 350Z, Mazda RX7, BMW E92 M3, Nissan 180SX (S13), BMW E36 M3).
