Season 3 of Overwatch 2 brings with it a myriad of new features, including new maps such as Antarctica and, to the delight of longtime players, even Numbani Airport. The map has been officially “reset” after five and a half years of waiting, also anticipating new maps to come.
Numbani, for the uninitiated, is a hybrid map that has been in the game since the original Overwatch went online in 2016. Historical fans will remember how it looked when everything was intact. However, the arrival of Doomfist caused havoc in the area and destroyed part of the buildings, then not rearranged by anyone.
After all this time, Blizzard has finally restored the hybrid map to its former glory by adding some new interesting details: now the advertisements on the ground indicate that the Numbani airport has resumed operations, while the flight board has been reassembled and shows a new location: Gdansk. According to fans, this could be the hint of a new map coming in the course of 2023-2024.
Additionally, you may also notice locations such as Vienna, Princeton and Jakarta added to the board while Paris, Hanamura, Singapore, Austin and Johannesburg have all been removed from the original display. What does all this mean? Most likely Blizzard has some surprise in store for all fans players of the free-to-play hero shooter but, of course, you will have to wait patiently for it.
In the meantime, we remind you that on Valentine’s Day you can enjoy the Loverwatch dating sim on the browser.
