When a brand new game by Ken Levine, the inventor of Bioshock, was announced at the Game Awards in December last year, there was of course great joy. A spiritual successor to the popular series was on the wish list of many players, but unfortunately we have to wait a lot longer for its release than we had hoped.
Spiritual successor to Bioshock will appear in a few years
The new financial report from publisher Take Two provided a target release period for Ken Levine’s upcoming game Judas. The title is not expected to see the light of day until March 2025, along with 87 other games to be released by 2025.
Of course, there is always the possibility that the release date of the title will be pushed back even further. As Take Two CEO Strauss Zelnick himself explains to IGN, the company has had a few glitches in recent years. However, this is said to have improved significantly in the meantime.
“We’re feeling very stable right now. I have a very good feeling about our upcoming schedule. Of course there’s always the possibility of some deviations, but the teams seem to be working really well and I’m optimistic that we’ll continue to come up with great titles will bring to market.”
