Of course, rising costs alone do not mean that Apple will necessarily release more products than last year – in quantitative terms. Component prices have risen due to inflation and actual production volumes may be lower than last year. What matters is that there is no significant reduction in core costs, so this partly suggests that Apple is confident in its ability to sell a sufficient number of manufactured electronic devices this year.
