Metroid Prime Remastered It’s already a reality… in fact, you can play it right now! It was the great surprise of Nintendo in its last Nintendo Direct, the one that opened Pikmin 4 and closed Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Here you have all the announcements of the presentation.
Like Hi Fi Rush at the Xbox event in January, Metroid Prime Remastered has been a “shadow drop”, that is, it came out as soon as the presentation was over. You can already buy it in the eShop, where it also comes out at a reduced price: 39,99 euros.
Do you want it physical? It will also come out, but you will have to wait a bit, at March 3, 2023when the cartridge version comes out.
Interestingly, in the United States it comes out a little earlier, on February 22 (but it will be a normal physical release, nothing from My Nintendo Store). But we don’t know how many copies will be released, so just in case, stay tuned…

Metroid Prime Remastered is a HD remastering from the first Metroid Prime, the one from 2002 on the GameCube (and only the first). Developed by Retro Studios, as an appetizer for Metroid Prime 4, it has no new content but many improvements.
High definition graphics and improved sound, plus widescreen graphics, are the obvious improvements. But the best will be updated controls.
There are several control options, one like in GameCube games, and another mode of dual stick controls, which allow players to move and control the camera at the same time.
If you don’t care about the physical version, you can run to buy the game in digital format and start playing right now, enjoy an incredible adventure in Tallon IV, in first person, with a lot of action but also exploration and adventures.
Metroid Prime is one of the games that time doesn’t pass by… and this remaster polishes all the edges to offer a current, visually spectacular adventure that you’ll want to take everywhere with your Nintendo Switch.
