“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” and “Warzone 2.0” will start the second season shortly. A previously released roadmap shows what players can expect in it.
After a two-week delay, Activision has revealed the full Season 2 roadmap for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and its accompanying free-to-play battle royale game, Call of Duty Warzone 2.0.
The list of all features and content that on the official website of the “Call of Duty” series are summarized, includes, among other things, additional details on features already announced for Season 2. For example, it has long been known that “Warzone 2.0” will receive a new map for the Resurgence and DMZ modes.
There are also all sorts of changes to existing game mechanics. When players defeat an opponent, the loot will be right on the ground afterwards. The same applies when a loot box is opened. In addition, the 1v1 format in the gulag is part of the battle royale shooter again.
What’s new in Modern Warfare 2
In turn, Modern Warfare 2 will be expanded with four new maps and classic modes from the history of the franchise. The two main maps are Dome and Valderas Museum, while the two battle maps are called Zaya Observatory and Al Malik International.
At launch, players will get Infected, Gun Game, Grind, and Hardcore modes, in addition to Drop Zone, All or Nothing, and One in the Chamber throughout the season.
A new raid will also be added mid-season to continue the campaign with popular characters like Price, Farah, and Gaz. On top of that there are new weapons, including the crossbow and the Iso Hemlock Assault Rifle, as well as new operators and ranked play.
The roadmap embedded above provides an overview of the new Season 2 content for “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” and “Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0”. You can also find one on the official site detailed and richly illustrated description of the new content in novel length.
