As the developers of Player First Games announced, the second season of the multiplayer brawler “MultiVersus” will be extended by several weeks. A step to allow the community to complete the Season 2 Battle Pass.
The second season of the multiplayer brawler “MultiVersus” was originally supposed to be completed in the coming week. However, the community has recently campaigned several times for an extension of the current season.
For example, the increased number of XP required to unlock all Battlepass content led to players complaining that they might not be able to unlock all of the current season’s rewards.
The responsible developers of Player First Games complied with the request of the community and confirmed via the official “MultiVersus” Twitter channel that the second season will be extended by several weeks. Instead of ending the second season on February 14, 2023 as planned, the final whistle will now only sound on March 31, 2023.
Boosters increase the amount of XP
However, it does not stop with the extension of the current season. Instead, Player First Games announced that the studio took note of player feedback and increased the number of XP earned with appropriate boosters: “We heard you MVPs! To help you reach the end of the current Battlepass, players will receive Battlepass XP Boost items PLUS Season 2 is extended through March 31st.”
“Check out the new items in your inventory and a purchase feature for new tiers to progress faster,” the studio continues. How things will continue after the second season of “Multiversus” has not yet been revealed. The only thing that is certain is that new characters and features will also be offered in the third season.
Most recently, data records in the brawler’s source code discovered by dataminers indicated that newcomers such as Data from the Goonies, the Joker, Samurai Jack or Pickle Rick could find their way into the game in the third season. However, this has not yet been officially confirmed.
