Uff, Nintendo let it rip at yesterday’s Direct, even if a little more mass than class was announced. But there were finally some appointments and a surprise shadow drop.
There was a lot going on at the Nintendo Direct, even if smaller titles were a priority. The surprise of the evening, however, was certainly the unannounced shadow drop of the digital version of Metroid Prime Remastered, which was released right after the Direct.
This is a visually revised version of the first Metroid Prime, which was released for the Gamecube at the time. In addition, the remaster has received dual-stick control. As mentioned, the digital version is available now, with the physical version set to follow in Europe on March 3rd.

Boom – Shadow Drop! Nintendo released the digital version of Metroid Prime Remastered parallel to the February Direct – the physical version will follow on February 22nd.
With a new trailer, we were finally told the release date for Pikmin 4. The strategy game for Nintendo Switch will finally be released on July 21, 2023. The trailer also shows plenty of gameplay footage, including the different types of Pikmin, including the new Ice Pikmin, as well as various game elements and enemies such as Bulblax and Bulborbs.

There’s another sign of life from Pikmin 4 in the form of a new trailer.
Speaking of dates: the long-postponed Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp finally got a release date. The game was postponed at the time due to the proximity to the Russian invasion for reasons of reverence, but the release date is now set for April 21, 2023. Advance Wars 1+2 is a remake of the original games in the series for Nintendo Switch. Both story campaigns, a map maker and online multiplayer are also included.

The platformer Disney Illusion Island not only has a new trailer, but also an appointment. The game is coming to Switch on July 28, 2023.
