At the presentation Nintendo Direct showed the trailer for the demo version Octopath Traveler II — a continuation of the role-playing game released in 2018, combining pixel retro style and modern technologies.
The demo is available to download now on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch consoles, and will be available today on PC as well. Gamers are offered to choose one of eight main characters and go on a three-hour adventure. Later progress can be transferred to the full version of the game.
The developers promise that Octopath Traveler II will retain the advantages of its predecessor and improve existing mechanics: the combat system will acquire new features, each hero will receive a large number of non-linear actions, a diverse open world will be available for study.
The game will release on February 24 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and PC. The publisher notes that Octopath Traveler II will be a great entry point for beginners who are not familiar with the first part.
