Sabotage has announced that their turn-based RPG Sea of Stars, set in the universe of The Messenger, will release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC on Steam on August 29, 2023.
Additionally, the developer has announced that Switch players can now try out the demo. The demo is a dense piece of early game content, showcasing the core systems and mechanics of Sea of Stars, introducing key characters and the tone of the adventure in a spoiler-free, close-to-final look at the game with pirates, puzzles, and exploration.
In combat in Sea of Stars, players take control of members from six squads in turn-based role-playing systems. Leveling has also been removed from the game, since character skills are unlocked as the game progresses and are not tied to the number of battles played. When battles take place, players must use their tactical skills to get out of it and preemptively repel the enemy’s powerful attacks.
