09.02.2023 at 09:31 by Sara Petzold – The Great War: Western Front finally has a final release date – and fans of cultivated real-time strategy don’t even have to be patient for a particularly long time. There is also more good news for potential players of the WW1 RTS from former C&C developers.
Having made a name for themselves in the strategy genre with titles such as Gray Goo and Conan: Unconquered, the developers at Petroglyph Games are soon bringing out a potential hit for RTS fans. The C&C veterans are working on The Great War: Western Front, a real-time strategy game set in World War I – and it finally has a release date.
The Great War: Western Front: Free Trial Available Now
As the developers announced in an official post on Steam, The Great War: Western Front will be released on March 30, 2023 on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Those who pre-order the title can start three days earlier, namely on March 27, 2023. The Victory Edition also comes with a digital bonus version of the game, which includes a digital battlefield guide, five digital wallpapers and the original soundtrack.
The Great War: Western Front will also be featured at the Game Preview on Steam, a special preview event taking place from February 6th to February 13th, 2023 at 7pm GMT. The developers will stream their game live during the event and answer questions about the RTS title. Interested fans can also download a free demo of the real-time strategy title from Valve’s online platform and form their own informed opinion, which will make a purchasing decision easier. The game itself costs 34.99 euros in the standard version, and 39.99 euros are due for the Victory Edition.
