The Chinese company Alibaba Group said it has developed an artificial intelligence system similar to the hugely popular ChatGPT AI bot from Open AI. Alibaba’s development is currently in the internal testing phase.

The report said that in the future, Alibaba may integrate its AI bot into its proprietary DingTalk communication application, which is analogous to Zoom. Official representatives of the company have so far refrained from commenting on this issue. “Cutting-edge innovations such as large language models and generative AI have been our focus since the inception of DAMO [исследовательский институт Alibaba] in 2017. As a technology leader, we will continue to invest in integrating advanced technologies into applications for the benefit of our customers, as well as their customers through cloud services,” said an Alibaba representative.
Recall that over the past few weeks, the advanced chat bot ChatGPT has gained great popularity around the world. It was created by Open AI, which has been supported by Microsoft for several years. In 2019, the software giant invested $1 billion in the developer, and this year announced its intention to invest billions more over several years. In addition, Microsoft has already begun integrating Open AI algorithms into its products, such as the Bing search engine and the Edge browser. Google also introduced its analogue ChatGPT.
