Pre-series production of Lada Vesta NG cars was launched at Avtovaz – the relevant information was published by the TASS agency with reference to the press service of the government of the Samara region.
The regional government’s announcement reads as follows: “On Friday, February 10, the Governor [Самарской области] Dmitry Azarov and President of Avtovaz JSC Maxim Sokolov at the Togliatti site launched the pre-series production of Lada Vesta NG, which will allow tracking the accuracy of all assembly operations. It is planned that serial production will begin in early March, and in April the new cars will be on sale.”
Thus, in the coming months, the company will continue preparing for mass production of the car, setting up equipment, as well as organizing production and logistics schemes.
Recall, Avtovaz announced the assembly of the first test car Lada Vesta NG in November last year. The president of the joint-stock company, Maxim Sokolov, said that in 2025 a front-wheel drive SUV based on the Vesta platform should be developed. The plant was idle for most of May 2022 due to a lack of spare parts.
