Jean Hesdoncreative director Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed: Origins, leaves Ubisoft after 17 years of work.
The veteran developer thanked the company for the experience, but did not talk about how and where his career will develop further. Geston started at Ubisoft as an original game coordinator. Assassin’s Creedafter which he worked Assassin’s Creed 2and later managed the franchise’s content department.
According to my cityfor the last five years Gesdon has worked in Ubisoft Montreal over an unannounced game codenamed Renaissance. The project involved voxels and in some ways resembled Minecraft. Renaissance has been cited by some former Ubisoft developers as one of the company’s most promising games. What will happen to the project after the departure of Gesdon is unclear.
