The official NieR: Automata Ver 1.1a Twitter account has revealed that the anime will resume streaming next week. The fourth episode will premiere on February 18.
The anime was previously announced to be going on hiatus on January 21st. The official statement spoke of a disruption in production due to problems with COVID-19. During the hiatus, the first three episodes of NieR: Automata Ver 1.1a were re-aired. The anime premiered on January 7th.
Humanity was expelled from Earth by mechanical beings from another world.
