In the launch week of Hogwarts Legacy, the fantasy adventure set in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter monopolizes the Top 10 most purchased video games on Steam according totremendous commercial success of the title.
As rightly noted on social networks by the well-known analyst and content creator BenjiSales, the ‘double mention’ in the ranking of Hogwarts Legacy and its Deluxe Edition is not the result of an error but is due to the system adopted by Valve to process the global sales of video games on Steam. The Valve digital store database, in fact, divides the sales of individual games based on the editions and availability: in the specific case of Hogwarts Legacy, therefore, the ‘duplicates’ present in the Top10 refer to the pre-order copies and those purchased from the official launch of WB Games’ fantasy RPG.
