It doesn’t look very good, but it works.
Modder abot decided to make the game world of The Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind a little more alive by adding footprints of the protagonist and NPCs. Although Morrowind will be celebrating its 21st anniversary soon, the thought of adding footprints hasn’t crossed the mind of modders before.
The mechanics, notes PC Gamer, are quite interesting. The modification monitors the playing of the sound of steps initiated by the game – if the sound appears, then traces are generated under the creature that has become the source of the sound.
The traces themselves are made in the form of low-resolution textures and do not look very nice. However, it’s better than nothing.
Through the settings, players can choose which creatures will leave traces. For example, you can make sure that only the main character of the game is able to inherit.
