If you’re craving some big mecha action, you’ll be happy to know that the Gridman Universe has officially gotten a little closer.
A new trailer revealed that Trigger’s cinematic successor to SSSS.Gridman and SSSS.Dynazenon will release in Japan on March 24th.
SSSS.Gridman debuted as part of the Fall 2018 lineup, introducing Yuta and the Gridman robot of the same name, who must work in tandem to destroy the monsters that have infested the city. SSSS.Dynazenon follows a similar idea, but with a new cast of characters and a matching titular mech. The game will be released in spring 2021. Gridman Universe will bring together actors from both anime in a mouth-watering mix that will give viewers the best of both worlds.
A western release for the animated film has yet to be announced, but can likely be expected a few months after its Japanese debut. As a rule, this is 6-8 months, although this period may vary depending on a number of other factors.
