If you want to try Tactics Ogre: Reborn before you buy, you can now download a two-hour demo from PlayStation Store. The only requirement for the download: A valid PlayStation Plus Premium membership.
In June of last year, Sony Interactive Entertainment launched the new three-stage version of its in-house online service PlayStation Plus.
Premium tier content includes exclusive demos for select games, ranging in length from two to four hours depending on the length of the title, and can be downloaded by subscribers at no additional cost. The next trial is now available, this time offering subscribers the opportunity to preview the Tactics Ogre: Reborn remaster over a period of two hours.
If you are curious, you can use the demo from the PlayStation Store download.
A classic celebrates its comeback
“Tactics Ogre: Reborn” is a technically and playfully revised remastered version of the well-known strategy role-playing game. The story takes you to the war-torn islands of Valeria, far off the continent of Xytegenia. The characters and graphics praised in the original 1995 game Tactics Ogre have been remastered in high definition.
Other improvements include faster fights, the ability to level up your characters and units individually, and a more flexible save function. “The tactical battles are fought on a playing field with differences in elevation. Thanks to the completely revised combat AI, there are tricky battles that demand a lot from you to find the right strategy for victory,” according to the official description.
Another special feature of the strategy role-playing game is the fact that you can influence the course of the story with your actions and decisions.
