02/14/2023 at 12:21 pm by Oliver Jäger – A Ryzen 9 7950X3D, which will be released at the end of February, was listed for 800 euros on the website of a French retailer. The offer can no longer be found, but a screenshot proves that the gaming CPU was listed there. 800 euros could correspond to the list price in euros, the US RRP was estimated at 699 US dollars.
At CES 2023, AMD presented the new Ryzen 7000 gaming CPUs based on Zen 4, which are intended to continue the successful concept of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D from last year. The processor, which was then called the “fastest gaming CPU in the world”, is very popular with users, which can also be seen from the top ranking in the PCGH price comparison.
A month later, AMD announced the availability of the three new CPUs: The Ryzen 9 7950X3D and 7900X3D will be available on February 28th, followed by the Ryzen 7 7800X3D on April 6th. The three processors come with a significantly higher array of L3 cache than their counterparts from September last year thanks to 3D V-Cache, although AMD did not release a Ryzen 7 7800X at the start of the Ryzen 7000 and Zen 4.
Dealers from France demanded 800 euros for the flagship
The fastest CPU on paper is the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, which AMD dubbed “the ultimate processor for gamers and developers” and has now been spotted in Europe, at French online retailer Rue du Commerce. A screenshot of the offer shows that the Ryzen 9 7950X3D was listed on the dealer’s website for 800 euros.

However, there is said to have been no trace of the 12 and 8 cores. According to the information on the website, the 7950X3D will be delivered on March 16th, so it seems that the dealer does not have any stock on release day. However, if you look at the Rue du Commerce website, you can no longer find the offer.

Whether the €800 is the RRP in euros for the Ryzen 9 7950X3D is yet to be confirmed, but given that the 7950X’s RRP is €849 – both CPUs, both the 7950X3D and the 7950X, have a list price of $699 – and since exchange rates have moved again, $800 seems within reach for a Euro MSRP.
