It seems that Salazar Slytherin’s basilisk exists in Hogwarts Legacy – a monster that guards the Chamber of Secrets and plays an important role in one of the Harry Potter books. basilisk met in the Slytherin common room.
Judging by the video posted on Twitter, the basilisk is very impressive in size. It was not possible to get to know him better: the monster was crawling in an area inaccessible for research.
Fans have not yet been able to find out under what conditions the meeting with the basilisk is activated. Perhaps this is just a random event, an easter egg referring to the events of JK Rowling’s books.
From the point of view of lore, there is no contradiction here: the basilisk lived in Hogwarts from the very creation of the castle until it was killed by Harry Potter. The toilet through which Potter got to the Chamber of Secrets is also present in the game, but the room itself is inaccessible.
