From writer/director/executive producer Scott Z. Burns (Contagion, The Bourne Ultimatum), Extrapolations will see characters surviving the effects of devastating climate change.
Apple has indeed invited a powerful and expensive cast – in particular, such Hollywood stars as Meryl Streep, Kit Harington, Edward Norton, Forrest Whitaker, Tobey Maguire, Gemma Chan, Sienna Miller and David Schwimmer. And this is not a complete list.
Extrapolation is an 8-episode anthology drama series spanning a 33-year span, showing how the Earth is suffering from devastating climate change and how it affects people’s daily lives.
Apple has spared no expense on some stunning visuals, too, judging by the significant amount of wildfires, flooded cities, and desolate, parched landscapes in the trailer.
The first three episodes of Extrapolations will debut on Apple TV+ on Friday, March 17, while the remaining five episodes will air one weekly.
