According to open information, the minimum training period for an F-16 or Typhoon pilot is 35 months. In addition, many experts, including those from among former pilots, argue that it is easier to teach a pilot how to fly the same F-16 from scratch than to retrain someone who has been flying “dryers” or “flashlights” all his life.
