Developer Flying Squirrel Entertainment has announced that the military sandbox Battle Cry of Freedom will receive a huge 2.0 update on March 9th.
The list of new content is long, but here are some of the highlights: cavalry, vehicles, trench warfare, a graphical update, new classes, and realistic gore.
The Battle Cry of Freedom 2.0 update contains many changes and improvements across all aspects of the game. Here are some of the most important features included in the update:
Cavalry: Players can now mount horses and even tow artillery around the battlefield for greater mobility. Graphics Rework: The game’s graphics have been significantly improved with improved terrain rendering, flora and grass shaders, and reworked post-processing effects, giving the game a stunning new look. Blood: Update 2.0 includes the free Blood DLC, which adds realistic blood to the game. Vehicles: Players can now control armored trains, steamships, and wooden boats, providing new ways to move around the battlefield. Trench Warfare: Engineers can now use shovels and pickaxes to dig trenches, adding a new layer of strategy to the game.
