Nearly a week after the release of a multi-page document exposing Genshin Impact English voice actor Elliot Gindy for inappropriate behavior and harassment of fans, the game’s developers have finally answered the community’s questions.
On February 16, Genshin Impact’s official Twitter account posted several messages regarding the current situation. In the first of them, the company spoke about the termination of the contract with Elliot and finally announced his dismissal. The next one is about the very “immediate solution” that the developers were looking for immediately after the publication of the exposure. According to HoYoverse, the company has contacted a record label and are looking for a new voice actor.
It was also stated that the existing replicas of Tignari, after the approval of the understudy, will be gradually replaced, and each change can be read in in-game announcements. The identity of Dendro Archer’s new voice has yet to be announced, but the official announcement will probably take place after the castings are over.
