Actor Elliot Gindy will no longer voice Tignari in the English localization of Genshin Impact. Developers reported on termination of cooperation with Gindi due to breach of contract.
In early February, Elliot Gindy was accused of inappropriate behavior, harassment and dealing with Genshin Impact fans – including minors. Gindi partially admitted to the allegations, confirming the veracity of screenshots of chats with him released as evidence.

When the allegations against Gindi became known, the other voice actors of Genshin Impact announced a boycott of the colleague. Fans urged the developers to fire Gindy, miHoYo studio promised to look into the situation.
Now the developers are looking for an actor who will replace Gindi. The new actor will voice Tignari not only in the future, but also in the old content. Gradually, all Tignari’s lines recorded by Elliot will be overwritten and replaced in the game.
miHoYo has not revealed when Gindi’s successor will be named.
