As part of the NBA All-Star Weekend in Salt Lake City, a slam dunk contest was held, the winner of which was Mack McClung from Philadelphia, who started the season in the G-League.
In the final, Mack scored 50+50 points ahead of New Orleans’ Trey Murphy (98 points).
McClung became the first player in history to receive an invitation to a dunk contest while playing in the Development League.
Also participating were Houston’s forward Kenyon Martin Jr. and New York’s Jericho Sims.
