The head of the Dutch Military Intelligence and Security Service, Jan Swillens, said that 17 Russian diplomats would have to leave his country as part of the Dutch decision to equalize the number of employees of the diplomatic mission operating in the two countries. This was stated by the publication TASS with reference to the material of the Netherlands Broadcasting Corporation.
Recall that until now it was known that only 10 diplomatic workers of the Russian Federation would be expelled. Now Swillens clarified that “we are talking about 17 diplomats.” The head of the Netherlands Military Intelligence and Security Service also claims that his country “has stopped accepting new people who are known to be intelligence officers.”

Last Saturday, the Dutch Foreign Ministry announced that the number of diplomats from the Russian Federation working in the country has been limited. The employees of the diplomatic mission are ordered to leave the Netherlands within two weeks. By decision of the Dutch Cabinet of Ministers, no more diplomats can work in the Russian embassy in The Hague than in the Dutch embassy in Moscow.
