Polyphony Digital has released more details on Gran Turismo 7 update 1.29. Along with the new vehicles and the introduction of VR support for PlayStation VR2, a new track and limited-time event are also included.
Gran Turismo 7 will be expanded tomorrow with update 1.29. Among other things, five new vehicles have found their way into the game. Other new features include VR mode for PlayStation VR2 and other content listed on the Polyphony Digital official site.
After the new vehicles at the weekend initially only identified by their silhouettes could be, it is now clear that the following newcomers are involved:

There is also a new race track. It is the “Grand Valley Highway 1” with a route length of 5,099 meters. The course has a vertical drop of 97 meters and the number of corners is given as 18. The longest straight is 995 meters long.
“Grand Valley is a Gran Turismo classic that returns with a brand new look. The full Highway 1 layout is a difficult course that features full-throttle, high-speed sections as well as tight, twisting technical corners,” says Polyphony Digital.
In turn, users of scapes can adapt to the drift stage and photograph vehicles in appropriate situations. After the update, players can expect a tutorial that explains the first steps to take drift photos.
Update 1.29 mit VR-Support
However, the highlight of the new update for “Gran Turismo 7” is the new VR mode, which is only available for the PS5 version and also requires possession of the new virtual reality headset PlayStation VR2.
After the update, almost all modes of Gran Turismo 7 can be experienced in virtual reality. An exception is the two-player split-screen mode.
Players also get access to the “VR Showroom” where they can view vehicle models “in super high resolution and in a variety of environments and lighting conditions.”
Compete against a special AI
Also reserved for PS5 players is the Ride Together limited event, which pits players against each other in races GT Sophy have to compete. It is an AI racing agent developed by Sony AI in collaboration with Sony Interactive Entertainment and Polyphony Digital.
During the event period, players can access the event from the banner in the top right corner of the world map. The requirement is at least collector level 6.
